History
René Gabriels, a billiard player who gathered 7 Balk-line World Titles during his career, founded Gabriels in 1932. Not being satisfied with the ever-changing equipment he had to play on, his goal was to develop a carom table that would set the standards for tournament play.
His experience led him to fine-tune his products which has ultimately resulted in the Imperator model as we know it today, the finest table available for all carom games.
In 2003 the Dutch company
Loontjens Biljarts acquired the Gabriels brand. Loontjens Biljarts is active as a billiards producer since the 1920’s. As Loontjens Biljarts was producing
Roothaert traditional styled tables, this merger has resulted in the strongest European manufacturer and market leader in the field of high-end carom – and pool tables. Nowadays all billiards are produced in Middelburg, the Netherlands. With a small team of dedicated people we are working on these great billiards.
